Sound design projects

My passion for music and sound motivated me to study in-depth on how to create, shape and position audio to produce emotional impact. Here are some of the films that I worked as a sound designer and surround mixer.

Light in the Dark

Light in the Dark has many different visual elements to play with: live-action, 2D/3D animation and stop motion. The challenge was to create sounds that blended the different visual styles to support the narrative of the story.

Stone Engravings and the Three-colored Chickenpox

In the first evidences of mankind in the south of Brazil we meet, side by side, the visible and the invisible parts of a story.

The aesthetics of the film gives freedom to explore these unconscious noises that we are very familiar. Primitive sounds like the formation of earth and droplets from millenary caves, together with field recordings from the outstanding landscapes of Rio Grande do Sul compose the sound piece.

Behind the Shadow

After the death of his parents, Pedro escapes from home, leaving behind his childhood.

With a profusion of reflective visuals, the silence of the screen gives space for the ambient sound and the nature around Pedro.

The Twig and the Train

The journey of a little twig that was born on a train track.
Patience and hope is the main message for this emotional film for kids.

Three Mice

In an empty apartment, old memories echo off the walls.

The image walks you inside an empty apartment while the sound tells the story of what happened there.
